Warriors of Purpose CEO Rodney Lavoie Jr turned his pain into passion and his passion into purpose. Rodney's sister Natalie W. Lavoie at the age of 36, died unexpectedly from a drug overdose. Losing a daughter, a sister left Rodney and his family with a hole in their heart forever. Rodney and his family wanted to honor Natalie's life by creating a positive impact of change through the Warriors of Purpose Foundation.Rodney and his team are devoted to helping those living with pain and suffering across the world. The former television personality on the 30th edition of CBS Survivor– Worlds Apart has successfully conquered a variety of obstacles such as anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and PTSD which provides knowledge and personal experience to help ones struggling with mental health disorders. Rodney's belief is that if those struggling begin pursuing their purpose in life and recognize the importance of how making good decisions impacts the rest of their life, they are more likely to choose a life-path conducive to success.
Warriors of Purpose Education and Awareness Debate Tour (Omaha, Nebraska)
On May 4th-5th, 2017, The Warriors of Purpose foundation visited the state of Nebraska for the first tour to spread the word about addiction and mental health education and awareness. This tour featured 12 reality TV stars whose lives have been impacted by substance abuse and mental health issues. They spoke to over 3,000 students in 12 middle schools, high schools and colleges during their two day tour of Nebraska and thousands of others online.
Our education and entertainment tour provided: ---substance abuse and mental health education and awareness to students in order to break the addiction and mental health disorder stigma worldwide. ---Provide resources, opportunities, and avenues to help students who have been (or will be) affected by substance abuse, mental health disorders, and addiction. ---Warn students of the dangers of dabbing in, or experimenting with, drugs and alcohol. The presentation will include personal stories of the destruction and death that these celebrities have experienced first-hand.
The Warriors of Purpose Foundation is comprised of Public Figures, TV Stars and life-long educators who have a heart and passion for helping those suffering that are dealing with mental health disorders, suicide, substance abuse, bullying, domestic violence, the worst of life circumstances and conditions. This team brings a unique platform of big names and big hearts that will do whatever they can to come together and help and support a child or individual who needs them.
The Warriors of Purpose Foundation motto is " Life circumstances are not life sentences." Our scars are never permanent, and neither are our circumstances. you may never be able to change the cards life has dealt you, but you can determine the way you can play them. Embrace whatever it is that life has dealt you. Circumstances do not banish you behind bars and they do not determine the outcome of how you live your life. That is the Warriors of Purpose way.
